A lot of the public is on the Nuggets here today as under dogs but the line keeps rising to the Rockets. I like the Rockets in this game mainly because they are just as good as any team at home while Denver is actually 2-7 overall in their last 9 road games straight up. They really haven't played on the road that much as of late and they lost twice @ the Kings just recently.
The Rockets are a decent defensive team and can shoot the ball with Brooks/Ariza. Anthony is not 100% as he has suffered from an ankle injury but will play. Denver is 1-7-1 ATS in the last 9 road games. Denver is 9-13 ATS on 1 day rest and the Rockets are 12-7 ATS on 1 day rest I think these trends hold true here tonight to be honest.
Rockets also have the revenge going for them in this game as they lost by 10 in Denver. Denver is one of the most difficult places to play, but the Rockets led by 8 at one point in that game before trailing in the 2nd half. They actually out rebounded the Nuggets by 6, but where the game was decided was from the perimeter and the defense of the Nuggets. The Nuggets forced 21 turnovers and shot 58.3% from three. The Rockets have just 12.2 turnovers per game at home and should clean that up a bit making this a good game. They also defend much better beyond the perimeter at home and they get to the free throw line more. In that game they actually got to the line 12 more times! I expect them to get to the FT line more times tonight.
